Hear From Past Students

I started my teacher training journey in 2016 with Mat and Barre training. I then went on to complete all my Reformer training along with pre & postnatal training in the last few years. I have gained a deeper understanding of Pilates and also discovered that I have a passion for teaching and helping others improve their physical and mental well-being.
The teacher training program is comprehensive, challenging, and incredibly rewarding. The knowledge I gained in the training has transformed the way I approach Pilates and my overall teaching style.
The journey has been life-changing, challenging and fun! I’m proud to be a certified Pilates instructor through Anne Sexton’s training program and I look forward to continuing my pilates learning!

I trained with Anne 2 years ago on the Reformer. I had been working in the fitness sector for several years and had previously trained in Mat Pilates through another body.
I found Anne to be very well informed and have an extremely deep understanding of the theory and practice of Pilates. Anne has a comprehensive knowledge of the body and a particularly good understanding of the body's fascia system and its relevance to the theory behind Pilates in its original repertoire. I have witnessed and experienced myself, how well her students benefit from her teaching on an ongoing basis.

Having attended Pilates classes in many places over the years, I found Anne Sexton’s studio to be the very best. When I decided to further my Pilates knowledge through teacher training, Anne Sexton Teacher Training Academy was the only place to go.
I started teacher training in 2023 and completed Anatomy, Mat I & II, as well as Reformer I, II & III in 2024. From the beginning Anne’s passion for Pilates and teaching shone through. The course included training, practice and observation hours, all of which were accommodated in Anne’s wonderful studio in Tinakilly. The instructions, notes and support provided during the course were excellent and Anne’s attention to detail was inspiring. Even though it was hard work it was also great fun, and I made a lot of great friends during the training.
