Why Choose Us

Experience The Difference

Rooted in Three Decades of Mastery

Anne has spent over 35 years in health and movement, with close to 25 devoted entirely to Pilates. She has trained under first-generation teachers who worked directly with Joseph and Clara Pilates, and continues to study with the world’s leading experts in fascia and movement science. This isn’t a trend for us. It’s a life’s work.

Where Ireland’s Pilates Teachers Begin

Many of today’s Pilates instructors across Ireland began their journey with Anne Sexton Pilates Teacher Training. Our school is proudly listed with the National Pilates Certification Program (NPCP), accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA). Anne has held the internationally recognised NPCP Certified Pilates Teacher qualification since 2018, reflecting our commitment to the highest standards in Pilates education.

Standards That Speak for Themselves

In 2018, Anne travelled to Miami to take part in an international think tank and discussion group focused on Pilates teacher training and the development of industry standards.

In 2019, under the guidance of the Pilates Method Alliance, the Pilates School Approval Programme (PSAP) was established. Following a highly rigorous assessment process, Anne Sexton Pilates Teacher Training was awarded PSAP accreditation in 2020.

This was a significant achievement and a reflection of many years of dedication. It also represents Anne’s ongoing personal commitment to accountability, transparency, and maintaining the highest standards—continually investing in her own education to ensure she delivers the most current and high-quality training to her students.

In 2023, the PSAP was replaced by a new programme, as it had been recognised as exceptionally difficult to attain, with only 25 schools worldwide achieving accreditation.

Anne Sexton Pilates Teacher Training is now listed with the National Pilates Certification Program (NPCP), which is governed by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA). Anne, as Director of the school, has proudly held the NPCP Certified Pilates Teacher qualification since 2018.
