About Gina Coyle

Gina moved to Wicklow from Dublin in 2020 and started working at Anne Sexton Pilates studio in March 2024 after completing both Mat and Reformer training with Anne.

Her love of movement started at the age of 4 when she began classes in classical ballet. This then progressed to Russian ballet and Irish dancing, then hip hop and street dance, which she learned at the National Performing Arts School in Dublin. She performed in several shows in the Olympia theatre with this school and in numerous other locations around the country. Unfortunately, a back injury brought her dancing career to an end, but began her love for Pilates, Yoga and other rehabilitative exercise.

She studied beauty and body therapy in 2006 at Bronwyn Conroy’s Beauty College, taking a particular interest in the subjects of Anatomy, Physiology and Deep Tissue Massage. She worked as a massage and beauty therapist in spas and salons in Dublin and the Caribbean and opened her own salon in Dublin in 2019. In 2020 after only a year in business, she closed her doors due to the pandemic. This then prompted her to explore Yoga Teacher Training, studying online from Kashish yoga school in Goa, India, and gained her 500hr YTT certification for multi style yoga, meditation and breath work. She then found Anne’s beautiful studio in Tinakilly House, Wicklow, and began attending classes regularly. She instantly fell in love and wanted to know everything there was to know about reformer Pilates, so decided to take Anne’s teacher training course.

She now teaches all levels of classes in the studio, combining her years of knowledge and study of the body, its limitations and injuries, and her Yoga, Pilates and dance training to deliver creative and rehabilitative classes.
